ARTISANS

I am a native Californian and have lived in Yucca Valley for almost twenty five years. My career is teaching but my heart has always been with the arts. I have my degree in Art and over the years have worked with many different mediums. I have worked with everything from traditional oils and acrylics to Batik dyes, from weavings to sculptures. Now, working with gourds, I have found my love. Each piece is a unique blend of pyrography, (using of heat to draw, carve or scorch designs) dyes, acrylic paint and colored pencils. I weave my love of nature and the outdoors with my art in each signed "one of a kind" piece, that I believe will withstand the test of time.
