Clay Hodson

Clay Hodson was born and raised in Southern California. He had a very successful career in law enforcement which lasted for 37 years. He worked for both the Whittier Police Department and Riverside County District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation.  He retired as the Chief of Investigators in 2007.  It was at Whittier PD where Clay first learned to use a film camera.  It was mostly surveillance pictures while he worked Vice and Narcotics.

He also worked as a part-time faculty member at Riverside Community College, teaching criminal justice courses.  In his advanced criminal investigation course he taught crime scene photography.

Clay grew up as an outdoorsman and hunter.  Today, he prefers hunting with his camera.  He has traveled to Alaska many times where he enjoys taking pictures of bears and other wildlife. He is a part-time resident of Big Bear.
