Eric Reed

Eric Reed has been a working photographer most of his life. He began working as a professional photojournalist while attending The Academy of Art University in San Francisco in the early 1990’s.

Upon completion of his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography, he began working as the Chief Photographer for the Argus-Courier newspaper in Petaluma, Calif. In 1998 he moved to the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, Calif. as a Staff Photographer at the Daily Press in Victorville. In 2000 he took the position of Staff Photographer for The Sun in San Bernardino, which included the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, the Redlands Daily Facts, Riverside and Redlands Magazines. Then Staff Photographer for The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Whittier Daily News, Pasadena Star-News and Rose Magazine.

While working as a full-time photojournalist, Eric has taken teaching positions as Adjunct Faculty and Instructor at Victor Valley College and the University of California at Riverside Extension and also completed his Masters of Science in Photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara.

Eric has photographed in 22 countries on three continents and has covered subjects from Presidential visits to Space Shuttle landings and the wildfires of the west. His images have been published worldwide.

Eric currently is a freelance photographer working with major commercial clients and wire service/picture agencies in Southern California while living in Big Bear.
