Jessica resides in Big Bear where she works as a full time artist.
Most of her images emerge intuitively, therefore she prefers diving right into her application rather than making preliminary sketches.
Jessica uses a wood-burning tool to draw and texturize the surface of the wood. This is called Pyrography, which literally means "writing with fire".
After burning on the wood she uses ink fabric dye and colored pencils to add color.
Because of the intricate detail in her work, pieces can take anywhere from 40 hours to several hundred hours to complete.
