ARTISANS

Ed Madison (Big Bear City) has been crafting fine wood furniture by hand for decades. His most recent work combines primarily live edge wood slabs with hand-fabricated industrial metal bases to create one-of-a-kind heirloom tables, benches, shelves and decor.

Ed's goal is to preserve and highlight the natural beauty of every wood slab he works with. A lover of nature, he never cuts down trees for his projects. All of the wood Ed uses is re-purposed from trees that have already fallen or been cut down in local mountain forests.

Ed lives in Big Bear City with his wife Jess and their two teenage sons. When not crafting furniture, he serves as a flight nurse at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in 29 Palms.
