I grew up in Redondo Beach, in Southern California and have always appreciated art, even when I was very young and I loved flowers and planting them and making beaded necklaces. I enjoy flower gardening now and creating art from nature.
I retired from teaching Business at the high school level at the end of the 2019 school year and then Covid hit our world soon after.
As we all know it kept many people secluded in their homes and it was a time of turmoil for so much of the world. I decided to dive into flower pressing, which is something that I always wanted to do but didn't take the time for. I purchased a flower press and took courses online to learn from a floral artist that is accomplished and before long there were books and presses with flowers of many varieties stacked in every corner of my home. I experimented and learned while creating and I love what I do.
After almost six years I have created many floral designs with various species of flowers and plants. The fact that God has created such beauty in our world for us to enjoy is inspiring to me and I hope that you enjoy my floral designs too!
