ARTISANS

SoCal artist Laurie Halvorson is a creative, inquisitive soul running amok in left and right brain adventures. An artist from her youngest years, she attended Rocky Mountain School of Fine Art and Doane College. Laurie and her family lived internationally for many years before engaging a lengthy career in aerospace. She continued to create, painting and expanded to design/restoration of midcentury homes. Acceptance of her competing natures and the discovery of the encaustic medium, fueled a paradigm shift, opening new forms of expression and renewing her creative adventure. Colorful, distilled compositions began to emerge.
