ARTISANS

I was born in Vancouver, Canada where I have very fond memories of mountains and pine trees. At age 7 we moved back to my parents native rural Norfolk, England with its lush green landscape. My earliest memories are of picking up a pencil and drawing. I have always had a fascination with nature which is my greatest inspiration. I would look forward to art class at school everyday where I could truly express myself, and feel at ease. Having drawn and painted my way through school and Sixth Form College, work life then took me to a different industry. However this tangent is the reason I came to California 20 years ago and I consider myself very lucky to be in this beautiful part of the world. I have always kept up with my artwork then one day I randomly bought a burn pen and took to it immediately, loving the primal feeling of wood and smoke. I moved to Alaska for 4 years to be in the wild open natural country where I really committed to this new art form. I created original pieces for local business’s and also private commissions. I was very proud to be included in a show at a gallery in Homer. I have since moved back to California and was Juried into the summer 2025 season at Art a Fair in Laguna Beach.
