ARTISANS

I was born in Santa Monica, CA, and have always loved the outdoors.  While raising my three children in southern CA, my passion was gardening.  I loved working with my hands and making plant designs.  When I retired from the workforce I took a class for fun at the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens in pine needle weaving.  From that day forward I was hooked.  Much of what I have learned has been from many hours of practical experience. 

 

While growing up, and as a young mother, our family spent many vacations in Big Bear.  We fell in love with this special place, and when my husband retired we made the decision to make it our home.  Living in this environment inspires my work.  It has been close to 20 years now that I have spent weaving and experimenting with different techniques.  My hope is that a piece of my work will resonate with you.
