ARTISANS

Layla is a 13 year old junior artist who is inspired by her faith and love of nature. She enjoys connecting outdoor elements with the human spirit in her work. Doodling, drawing, sketching and creating digital art have all helped her focus and remain calm through her anxiety and Tourette's Syndrome. Therapy comes in many different forms and Layla finds creating art to be her best coping strategy. 

 

Layla's first commission was during the school shutdown when she drew digital illustrations for each character of a children's book. She learned a lot about herself and how to work with the author. 

 

When Layla's not doing homework, reading, singing, learning to play the guitar, volunteering, playing lacrosse or helping out around the house, she's in her room drawing.
